Obama has already initiated a process to generate another $500-billion "stimulus" package, with another check going out to everybody. That`ll bring the current bailout numbers to around $6-TRILLION, about 3 times the entire national revenues for a single year.

So yes, the moron of a student likely will get a check. It`s that he or she has absolutely zero concept of what that check will mean to the collapsing American economy. What will they spend that check on? What happens when half the local stores go out of business, and the dollars symbolized by that check are worth pennies?

Waive is correct. Waive all freedom. Waive all prosperity. Waive all rights. Waive all choice.
How does this scenario grab you?
"Attention all citizens of the People`s Republic of America. You are all to immediately report to your nearest Office of Work to receive your new work assignment. Upon arrival, you will be adminstered a tracking chip without which your work credits will not be recorded and you will not be able to eat, drink or sleep. Once you are checked in, you will immediately report to your new Employer who will be providing you with Everything, assuming you earn sufficient credits to redeem for any needs you require.
"This is for your own good, the good of the people.
  "Welcome to the ObamaNation."

For crying outloud my man.. you`re a plumber... don`t tell me you`re on the same boat as Joe the plumber? Joe the plumber is 1 plumber in a million that made it big.... I don`t think you make more than 250K a year, if you did... you wouldn`t be a plumber my man.. you`d be sitting home investing on plumber overalls or plumber tools. Not unclogging drains...

Now let me ask? What would have the response been if McCain would have won? I personally read lots on McCain... and I wasn`t fond of his track record not to mention PALIN... who was just asked to make an Adult video for 2 million... and if Hubby was the featured star they would throw in another 1 million in...I think the title was going to be Who`s Nailin` Palin.... hahaha...

Not to disrespect anyones opinions, but I`m tired of republicans...I guess I just have this image engraved on my mind... Everytime I hear the word Republican I see Bush`s dorky face.... have you people noticed that 95% of the time he doesn`t even look like he`s all there?

Lets give Obama a chance... The way I look at it is... New Blood, New thoughts, New Ideas.. New begining...

Yeah, Conservatives are pretty sick of the Republicans too. That`s why McCain was losing miserably until Palin was chosen as VP. She got the Conservative base excited again.

The very reasons the left hate Sarah Palin, is why Conservatives like her.

CraigL,
First of all, didn`t the Bush Administration give out like 4 Stimulus packages?  wasn`t it suppose to jump start the economy? And! this started back in 2002... I don`t think we needed stimulus packages back then. For the last 8 years, all you hear is "We are in a recession"... We were not in a recession when Clinton was in? So why, for the least 8 years all we heard was "Our economy is crumbling, we are heading for a recession"
So now that the republicans left a huge mess, we need someone to clean it up.

I think now more than ever is when we need a stimulus package! the last stimulus package under the bush administration... was a JOKE.... Give people a 300.00 dollar check and raise the GAS PRICES... then, the Oil companies still have the decency to say that they did good this year? 680 Billion dollars in sales? Well Geee... I can imagine...

What makes your statement funny is that "all of a sudden is wrong to give a stimulus package?" How is your business doing by the way? are your sales up? How many orders of signal flags have you had in the last week? I`m not mocking you... Don`t you think now more than ever is when we need a stimulus package? At least to get someone something for Christmas...

I honestly think that Obama should create a stimulus package specifically for small businesses, and that the SBA lowers the bars a little to help small businesses hire new employees.... thats how you jolt the economy... Not by building BOMBS, and Creating Pointless WARS... KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE FOR OIL..

I still think Sadam Hussein was killed for no reason... THE MAN WAS DEFENDING HIS COUNTRY.
But somehow he was blamed for the 911 bombing... Like OBAMA said... We are fighting with IRAQ... when we should be concentrating on Pakistan... That`s where the Jihad, and BINLADEN are hiding...

First of all, this never-ending attempt to switch EVERYthing back to George Bush is done. The man isn`t going to be in office for more than a few more weeks. NOBODY cares anymore whether or not alleged political discussion continues to blame everything on Bush.

Introducing another "how come Bush didn`t," or "how come Bush did" makes no sense. Then to use whatever projected logic of what might have happened as an argument relative to what Obama will do, simply doesn`t apply.

There`s no further need or real interest on the conservative side to argue about Obama or to care what he thinks he`ll do. With a bullet-proof congress, Obama and the liberal leadership WILL do whatever they feel like doing.

The actual argument now isn`t an argument. It`s a "test" to see which system of understanding reality is true. Events now will take place based entirely on the liberal perspective. The results will be whatever they are.

Conservatives use analytic thinking and objective reality to predict outcomes. Liberals use intentions and wishful thinking to make those predictions. Over the next few years we`ll get a chance to see which comes closer to reality---analysis or wishes.

From what I`m seeing, Obama (and/or his advisers) fully intend to recreate the FDR administration. Many people believe that Roosevelt was the most "brilliant" president ever. Many historians and economists propose that the FDR administration would have shut down the country if it hadn`t been for WW II.

What everyone seems to agree on, though, is that nobody can know anything "for sure." Therefore, it`s all "a matter of opinion." As such, history can`t teach us anything at all. We only can "wait and see."

And that`s why most people simply repeat history, over and over again, never learning anything.

When he killed  ten of thousands of his own  country men  was he ONLY defending is  country... or maybe it was his  power base

Everybody  is informed about the thing that he had done for years, not just one bad act...

And  how  does  an alleged offer to Palin to star in a porn have any merrit to a politcal discussion.    ???????  I would like to say I`m surprised that it was even braught up but when you try to smear someone  and have no real dirt  you have to create some.

After all  now since  there is an alleged offer to her, I guess that makes her a bad person or should it have been braught up in a different manner.

News Flash  (not a real surprise to any objective person)   "Palin had the charactor to turn down millions" ......

I  simply don`t  understand people.

People at the bottom usually don`t have much information about how things actually work. They rarely change anything for the better. Not in all cases. There certainly are people who have a run of bad luck, or whose circumstances have put them down at the bottom, working their way up and starting over. But not a multi-millionaire Senator.

The only "change" we`ll see out of Illinois is change for the worse. It`s a part of the state politics, after all....cheating, lying, stealing, bribery, patronage, and corruption.

Ideasandinnovation, you are about to experience the fruits of all your beliefs, and the result of your lack of understanding. People have tried to prevent those results for decades, but with a majority of people like yourself having come through the modern education system, you now are "in charge."

Your votes have at last triumphed and placed into office the government you`ve wished for. All the catchphrases and platitudes now will become the way America runs. Your new government agrees with you that Sadaam was "only defending his country," and that the "terrorists would be nice people if only we would stop attacking them."

You`re about to experience the type of government and society you`ve dreamed about, yearned for, and hoped would come about. Your lack of understanding doesn`t matter anymore, since millions of others like yourself have the power and authority to determine the nature and government of the country.

Now we won`t have to argue anymore. Things will change. Life will smooth out, and everyone will "get along." We`ll get a chance to prove that diplomacy is the better solution to international disagreements, and there won`t be any more arbitrary invasions of countries to "grab oil" and other resources. Life will at last be wonderful.
