It is a fact that the economy is in the worst shape since Franklin Roosevelt took office in 1933. The good news is that our President-elect Barack Obama has a plan to revitalize the economy. He believes that we must start from the ground up rebuilding our infrastructure. He believes that it`s when average Americans do well, the entire country as a whole does better. BidWilly shares this same belief.

One key issue of Obama is income inequality, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Income_inequality_in_the_United_States , whereas income is unevenly distributed. A 2004 poll of 1,000 economists showed that the majority of economists favor "redistribution". While there has not been a clear plan in place for resolving this inequality, Obama has made it clear that our playing field is no longer level or equal. Listen to the youtube video below.

BidWilly was founded on the same core principles that President-elect Obama speaks on. We believe that if we can stimulate growth from the bottom, our growth and prosperity will be evident across the board. Not only will average Americans do better but so will the country as a whole. So the question remains, How do we create this fair playing field for average Americans?

The answer is simple. http://www.Bidwilly.com . BidWilly creates this fair playing field by providing a free social marketplace for everyone to compete for consumer jobs. This includes everyone, the unemployed, entrepreneurs, or just people looking to earn extra cash. Read the BidWilly blog to learn more, I think this opportunity will be great for our economy.

One thing that will happen is that the bulk of the population will wake up and realize that understanding economics actually matters. Disillusionment is a great teacher, and with Mr. Obama, and more importantly, the now majority-liberal congress, we`ll get a chance to see the difference between fantasy and reality.

Solomon - I would be VERY careful in comparing what you do to wealth redistribution.  Wealth redistribution is against everything that makes entrepreneurship the heart of our great nation.  Everyone should not be rewarded equally.  Those of us that work harder and take more chances and regularly make payroll have every right to earn more than people who are content being a worker bee.

I think the right blew his redistribution comments out of proportion, but redistribution smells of socialism which is the opposite of what I want as an entrepreneur, and for that reason, I`d stay away from that angle in your marketing.

Craig, I don`t really understand what you`re trying to say in your reply.

Eric, so what are your thoughts on a marketplace where everyone gets to compete for consumer jobs? Consumers will be able to select which businesses they want to bid based on user ratings, etc and once selected it`s an open bidwar for the job that was posted. Any thoughts? You may read the About page on the bidwilly blog to get more information. http://www.bidwilly.com/bidwillyblog/

BTW, I love the idea of coming up with a business that addresses people`s needs in this crummy economy.  Maybe you can get a few case study quotes saying how your site turned someone`s life around.

In theory, yeah it sounds pretty cool.  I`m a bit ignorant in the subject area, however.

Wealth redistribution is theft.

The UCLA just released a report that showed that FDR`s "fixes" for the economy (i.e. welfare, etc.) led to the great depression lasting 7 years longer than it should have.

The average middle class American works for someone else. If that someone else is forced to pay more taxes and forced health care then this affects their bottom line which affects their business, which affects their employees. He has already admitted to creating carbon emission fines that will be so strict that it will make the coal industry go bankrupt (his words not mine). Do you know how much of our electricity comes from coal burning facilities? If there are no places buying coal, there is no need for coal miners. How many middle class are now going to be demoted to unemployed poor class, not paying taxes and thus getting a share of the taxes stolen form the hard working Americans?
If you are an entrepreneur, then why do you not have a problem with someone taking your hard earned money and giving to someone who isn`t working as hard as you. I pretty much mortgaged my soul to get my business off the ground, if I give my money away, I want to have a say in who it goes to. I don`t need a politician telling me where to give it.

OK, Here it goes...
When Obama, said "Spread the wealth" he didn`t mean to let welfare recipients get a free ride... What he mean was that even if you make less than $250,000 a year you should have a tax break as well. There are plenty of businesses out there... Including Joe the plumber, that do not make more than $250,000 a year.... So does that mean that because I don`t make $250,000 a year I should have to be penalized? I am still hiring and providing jobs? I think I deserve a tax break....

What he meant was, if you make less than $250,000 a year you are entitled to a break... everyone is..... Including the rich... What I never understood was.. why does the poor pay more taxes than the rich? Shouldn`t it be the other way around? I am so glad that OBAMA was elected President... McCain had no intention to fix the problem... he was looking for fame...
