Avalons Designs is a company based on the concept of offering our interior design experience, color coordination experience and jewelry customization to allow our clients to have an event that is uniquely them.

Over the years I have designed floral arrangements, center pieces, jewelry pieces and other decorations utilizing color and multiple textures that give a feeling of continuity as well as allow people to see that even on a tight budget there is a lot of options out there.
That is why I have started my own company.

I have made many contacts and have linked to a few companies in the area in order to promote my business as well as offer my customers companies that they might be interested in. In doing so I do receive some traffic to my sight but have not received any new clients. I am hoping  to find out how to better organize my sight in order to receive the interaction with the people who visit my sight and gain more attention.
Thank you for your help

Here are some suggestions to make your website more presentable as well as receive more traffic:
  • Cut down the Header/Logo. It takes up the top half of the page when viewing in the default res of 1024x768. Make it not as tall and I would consider taking out or moving the graphic below it to the top right part, or completely remove them (the smooth graphic with the green circle). It serves no purpose and since your logo is so massive it only adds to the awkwardness.
    • Make your logo match the bg color at the top as well. If your business is all about color coordination you need your website color coordinated.
  • Make your pages that actually have content on them, presentable. Take a comparison to a corporate competitor and look at how they present information and pictures.
    • Be careful about the pictures you use. Make sure they fit the subject, website design, and in-context display.
  • Focus your site`s mission statement. I still have a vague sense of what you provide. You need to find your niche, your product, and make it your mission to provide. Don`t be all over the place. That only creates problems and confused customers.
  • If you want more SE traffic then you need pages with more content. Better descriptions and articles about what you do and provide. How you can help. These pages also need SEO help so that actually help you instead of hoping they`ll help. You need to analyze your market`s keywords and niches.
  • FINISH YOUR SITE! I cannot stress this enough. No body likes to think about buying from a business with an unfinished website. Your pages are all over the place with no organization. Theres a missing about us page, but a link there for it. You have a google search bar but there is no point to searching your site. You can browse and read every page in under 100 seconds.
  • Question: Is your target audience local clients or can anyone in the USA buy your services/products. If its only local then you really need to think about local website marketing. That means getting listed on the local searches, local advertising, and using local wording.
  • Question: What is the point of the `planning for a baby` page? It engages the user and then leaves them wondering what to do. There is no number, no outlined product/service, just four sentences of text and a button with no information or reason for them to click.
Overall, we both know this site needs a lot of attention. I would not start promoting it in physical material until it is `finished` as I said. Under construction sites drive away more potential customers than delaying the promotion of the site. You need to constantly pay attention to how the site is performing so you can make it work for you. If you planned for the website to be in the top 3 promotional means of your business I would definitely look into hiring a Internet marketing or SEO firm. If you don`t rely on your website for attracting new leads, than at least make sure it`s professional enough to capture the leads you sent to it.

Regards
