The season is so close I`ve been sitting on my bike in the garage just waiting for the first nice day to ride. With that this is a friendly reminder to wear your gear and a helmet. Ride safe and enjoy life.

For non-cycle owners: the season is approching so keep your eyes peeled for cyclists, we`ll be on the roads soon enough and I`m sure neither of us want an accident to occur. So put your latte in the cup holder and drive responsibly.

It`s finally warm here in Colorado and I`ve already been out on my
motorcycle (with sidecar) a few times! I always appreciate the reiteration
of responsibility and safety, so thanks for saying it.

I just bought a Vespa (50 cc), and motorcyclists actually make fun of us, so...

Then again, we don`t have to have insurance a license plate, and still get 72 mpg.

As far as the season is concerned, I have been riding it as my sole form of transportation, and plan to do so year-round. Then again, I`m further south. But with global warming, it probably won`t matter in a few years.

I`m in California... we can ride ALL YEAR ROUND!  ... I wish I had a bike still. My last one died and I was tired of fixing the old thing. Maybe next year I`ll get another... (i think it might be further off than a year, but I can dream, right?)

By cyclists did you mean bikers? As I understand it, cyclists are folks that ride Bicycles and bikers are those that ride Motorcycles.

While we are on the topic, remember to give cyclists a wide berth.

Driving a 3 ton weapon at 60 mph you are hitting the cyclist with the equivalent kinetic energy of 1/4 LB of high explosives.

Good point. I am a (bicycle) road cyclist as well as a motorcyclist. I ride
my bicycle almost every day during the warm season, sometimes on busy
roads full of tourists and local daytrippers.

Motorcyclists, look out for bicyclists.
Automobilists, look out for motorcyclists.
Bicyclists, look out for automobiles.
Motorcyclists, look out for motorcycles.
Automobilists, look out for duck crossing.
Ducks, look out for...

Did I forget anyone? Oh, everybody just remeber to be safe when you`re
out and about! :)

Omigod, yes please watch for cyclists!

My mom and stepdad are avid cyclists in their area. A woman was killed last year by being hit by a logging truck. It`s sad, this "loggers vs tree-huggers" thing they have going on there in Oregon. They see all the cyclists not as athletes, but as some kind of hippy treehuggers.

Actually I was referring to Motorcycles but yah either way, drivers must learn to look more now that the bikes and motorcycles are coming out.
