I recently stumbled upon this website while doing research on entrepreneurship opportunities for a pseudo internship I am doing this week and I figured this would be as helpful a place as any to this question:

Are there statistics for Non Traditional Entrepreneurs (i.e. no college degree, recently laid off after doing one thing for most of their lives and don`t know how to market themselves, etc.) or are their good resources for those groups as well(speakers, workshop ideas, etc.)?

The reason I ask is because the organization I am interning with this week is going to be hosting a conference surrounding those types of people and we`re looking for a little context.

This is a really great community and any points in the right direction would be much appreciated!

I`m not sure anyone has actually compiled the analytics to demonstrate whether or not a full education is important or not. However, we did have an interesting discussion on this topic:
"Formal Business Education -- Do You Need It?"

Another person who`s been doing a lot of talking about the pros and cons of college degrees has been Guy Kawasaki, the venture capitalist. From his many experiences, he`s found that more often than not, entrepreneurs don`t have a lot of formal education.

If we were to say that IQ is an important variable in being an entrepreneur, then it`s an intrinsic attribute of a human being. Which is more important, then; IQ or education? And does education `create` IQ?
