This is my first post with StartupNation after many years. I've been active other places online (Most notably on Third Tribe), but I had quite forgotten about this place and the dynamic people here, until recently.

Now, I plan to hop in and be a bit more involved again.

When I was here years ago, the idea of SN members coming together in business to make a profit doing what we're good at was being thrown around. I was interested, but I found that while people had the interest, very few people had the knowledge or the drive to pull it all together.

I didn't either. So, I left to get it.

I started a business designed to support people in working hard, building a business and making money from their passion. How wonderful when I realized that that was MY passion!

Anyway, I figured since the idea of partnering in SN was what inspired me to begin with, that this would be my first post here.

sounds like a great idea Heather.  Lots of the 'seed' programs around are very limited in their intakes and its good to see other smaller more specific activities like this to help new entrepreneurs get going.

That's great news, Heather. You found your passion and it's about helping others build from theirs. It's surely not everyday that you find someone willing to invest, or even have the time to talk business, least of all something one is passionate about and here you are welcoming with a smile.

I have developed a concept and menu for a limited service cafe that will sell to-go breakfast and lunch items packaged in biodegradable containers. I have written business plan for the next three years. I met with the owner of the cafe space for rent and he seems to like my ideas and business plan. My startup could really benefit from your services and partnership. I'd like to learn more. I'm currently seeking an investor as a source of backup funding. The fundraising campaign page I've launched on IndieGoGo (I'm not a fan of Kick Starter) also needs a lot more hits. Any advice?
