We have google ads and have been making some money, but we would like a some other quality ads from a network. We don`t  have a team to sell direct.  Last year when we had our old site up we had relationships with Burstmedia and 24/7 Realmedia and we got lots of junk ads and they were difficult to upload. Any referrals for networks and an ad sales consultant who works on performance-based terms.

thanks

I`ve been researching ad network models like crazy.  Here are a couple that rise above some others:
TribalFusion -- CPM
Zedo -- CPM
VideoEgg -- CPE

Great entry point for small to medium size businesses.  I hope this was useful.

We`re still in the startup phase of our business.  So our site won`t be up for another 5 months.  Our focus and target is providing online distribution for African American, US Hispanic and Native American filmmaker, producer, and amateurs to develop UGO/P (User Generated Originals/Programming).

As I stated before, we`re constantly analyzing ad networks along with ad service companies.  Just an FYI, if you visit IAB (the authority and policy provider for online advertising), you`ll find a number of:
  • Research documents
  • Across the Board Policies
  • Industry Standards and Best Practices
Related too/with all things on the web.  Basically trying to build an across the board industry standard -- doing away with the wild west mentallity.

If you need any more information, please feel free to ask.  Checked out Oddpodz.  Nice and clean.  We`re going to partake in your site as part of our blogging relationship strategy.

Great. We`ve been at this for a couple of years. Made a very costly mistake early on and learned some hard lessons, happy to share.

We are in the process of tweaking our front page and adding a more valuable angle to our site.

Look forward to staying in touch. What city are you in?

We are located in Martinsburg, WV.  Very, very, off the beaten media industry path.  If you don`t mind me asking, what are some of the trappings that we can avoid?

Our biggest mistake was outsourcing our tech. We spent over $300,000 and ended up with the wrong solution and wrong team. IT was not our background, so we did not know what did not know. ;(  Assuming we`d launch in a certain time frame, we amped up on other expenses, that ended up being a big waste. We should have had our own programmers. Feel free to call me also, I can give you details. my phone number is on my brandingdiva.com site. On the Oddpodz blog there is an article I wrote about these lessons. http://www.oddpodz.com/blog/366.html.

Read the link.
And it was incredibly helpful.  Completely retooled my thought process in constructing our site.

Thank you so much for sharing your story.  And I look forward to keeping in touch.  Have a great week.  And better weekend.
