Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on applying for a credit card under your business? What is the criteria for a startup to get a credit card? If you have an LLC do they check your own personal credit or does the LLC start from scratch trying to establish credit with a bank, etc.

I don`t know what they look at, however I had great success with capital one. I have less than shiny credit not bad but not what it was before the divorce, I don`t remember if they needed personal info or just business info, but I got a great rate and a generous limit, in the business name.
also check into amex, they have what seems to be a fabulous program(s), I still have to wait one more year to qualify.

Even if you apply for a credit card for the business, you still basically apply for it in your own name and have the business attached.  I just use a credit card for business use and a different card for personal use.  I haven`t had any problem for taxes or any other reason.
