Hello,
I have my opinion, but I wanted to get more data. For video editing that will
be put to DVD, would you recommend Apple or Windows?

And, ignoring the pay software for a second, would you recommend iMovie
`06 or Windows Movie Maker (Windows Vista)?

Thanks.

For people who are die hard Apple users they will tell you APPLE all the way.  For people that are die hard PC users, they will tell you PC.

Have you ever edited a video before?  What preference machine do you have? (mac, pc?)

I have edited video with Mac and PC and its all the same...just what you are more comfortable with.

Let me know what you currently run and I can try and turn you in the right (affordable) direction.

Having used just about all the video editing products on multiple platforms I would suggest using what is more comfortable for you.  Most Apple stores have live demos of these products for you to futz around with.
