Has anyone had success with the site alibaba.com?

I found a manufacturer (by accident) otherwise I`ve only received tons of spam and have had no contact from those needing my product.

I`ve been on there for months and recently had my account suspended without reason.

After constant badgering they told me that since I export from China and I live there I have to join their "Gold Membership". 

They also claim I sale "glass window displays".

That`s funny since I don`t do business in China and I live in Los Angeles.

I think their website was hacked and they will not admit to it.

I now have no intentions of joining their "trust pass" membership which is quite costly and another reason I suspect they are not privy to answer my questions quickly.

They have permanently deleted my account and I have to start a new one in order to get back on.  I don`t think it`s worth my time.  Besides...greedbay I mean....ebay does have better securtiy.  You get what you pay for.

Anyone have stories?

That`s when you have to say that you plan on placing a huge order and ask for samples.  You`ll get their attention AND some free products.

Don`t ever mention that you are a small start up business, most of the times they don`t care, it`s all about your money and keeping your business.  Pretend you already are the huge company you want to be.

I don`t think Alibaba.com is the place for it so keep searching!

I`ve been back on Alibaba.com the past few months (they were hacked and let me back on without signing up another another name).

I`ve had some success in finding new manufacturers for my product.  If you need products mass produced, this is the place to find where to get it done.

I was told that alibaba is a good resource for finding factories, but DONT put your real email address because you will get tons of spam.

Aliaba.com is a scam site - it's a huge collection of frauds, and they refuse to even discuss the criminal cases associated with their members. As far as getting any justice - china is not a lawful society. We filed complaints with all state agencies, and none of them even bothered to respond. Is this something related to chinese mentality? Could be...
