Here is a link to a blog about these folks. I sent it along to Kevin as well. Lets see how he handles it. I'm very skeptical of this one. If it sounds to good to be true.....

cheers!
Hi all. I've received my second email from Kevin Sanderson trying to get me to join. I live in NZ and there's no way my product would be able to sell in any stores in the US. I told him as much when I replied to his first email several months ago thinking he'd emailed the wrong company. I've read every post on this forum and I was so wound up afterwards that I joined startupnation just so I could post my thoughts. I agree with alot of you that the concept is a great idea but there are far more negatives related to this site and this guy than there positives. I'd be steering very clear of him. Why doesn't he go out and get a real job instead of preying on other people. Shame on you Kevin Sanderson.
I havent heard of it. But I will surely check it out.
I will call Tacori see if this is real. I asked for testimonials from other jewelers before spending any $$$.
I need some assurance before I waste time and $$. Sounds a little too simple and easy.
Who has used them? And with what products?
Discovery channel, Macy's, Home Depot and others are on the site , but is this photoshop-cut and pasted logos ??
I have read all the posts on Intostores, however I see their proposal a little differently.
My product is jewellery and accessories. If I joined Intostores, and paid my initial startup cost plus monthly fee, my jewellery (around 1,000 items currently) would be listed on their website with a picture of each item. This merely replicates what you get on my own website Cybelle.com.au.
Intostores claim that retailers buy from their website, but how do I know this is true. Here in Australia, at least, most retailers go to trade fairs to identify suitable local wholesale suppliers, and then visit/call up these wholesalers' warehouses whenever they need replacement supplies. Website buying is not all that popular, because the retailer can't check the quality, finish, etc. of the goods.
While I don't have time to count the number of jewellery items Intostores currently display on their website, I guess it is there are 15,000 items at least. This brings up 2 questions: (1) What are the chances a retailer is going to choose some of my stock out of such a large potential selection? (2) Why only 15,000 items? -- looks like Intostores have not attracted many wholesalers!
Hope this helps to put the Intostores offer in perspective.
They remind me of a U.S. version of Alibaba.com Wonder if they're owned by the same company.
I googled "intostores.com reviews" and found this site. I had to register to say a big thank you to all contributers as I also received "Kevins" email and was seriously thinking about joining. Again a big thank you from Ireland.

I'm feel compelled to post on this thread. I have just added Decktime Candles as a seller with IntoStores.com knowing the associated risks with spending $175 to join their platform.
My perspective is $175 plus associated monthly fees is a relatively small investment if the site easily connects me with potential customers. In our niche market for wind resistant outdoor candles, we're searching for the biggest return-on-investment with regards to sales and marketing.
Hopefully IntoStores won't fail me... but there really is no substitute for face to face networking and sales. I don't think there is anything to really lose with trying.

John
I too got several emails from Kevin Sanderson, and have spoken with him on the phone. It took me 6 months to decide to put product up on intostores.com, still waiting for my business to be changed as they promise. Have had almost no hits on the products, and now after reading all of the posts on this site and several others, I don't really expect the tidal wave of sales they promise. Kevin has promised to send me my initiation fee back if I am not satisfied, so I will let you know what happens. I would love to talk with anyone who has had success on intostores, please contact me with any good news (or bad news)
Thanks
MM
