I agree glorian89. This has been on my radar for a while. I have a resale permit so was able to join as a buyer.  I emailedd a few of their members. For the most part, every body was pretty happy with it.  No hard luck stories, but then again there a monthly service so I'm guessing people that don;t sell just drop.  Everybody was getting inquires.  Sopke witsh a few that got new accounts.

It think they're the real deal, but I think it also depends on the products. Just becasue they have buyers does't mean anyone's going to buy.

Can't afford it yet.  Maybe next year

I was very interested in this. I decided against it. Some of the posts from supposedly different people where very similar:

"...no one had landed Walmart, although my products wouldn't fit their anyway."

"No big retailers (mine wouldn't fit in WalMart), mostly specialty shops."

Someone noted that they seemed similar to WiseRep. I believe there's a link there based on some of their server records.

Maybe it was presumptuous of me but I sent the following email to Kevin, never got a response.

"Hi Kevin,

Thanks for getting back. Frankly the idea is very intriguing from my personal observation and also from the interest of people found in links from Google. However you guys appear to have reputation issues:
http://beadedbadgelanyards.blogspot.com/2009/10/caveat-venditor-redux-intostorescom.html
http://www.startupnation.com/Anyone-heard-of-IntoStores-/topic/3/

And there were a few others.

I can see with a little work that there are a lot of very similar IP's between wiserep and intostores specifically the name servers and the mx server. So while they might not know for sure, peoples guess about the relation seems accurate. Unfortunately, your google results are going to be very hard for you to overcome without some proven, third-party testimonials of success.

Again, the idea behind the site seems right but I'm only willing to invest my personal time and the $29 monthly fee. If you want someone who will upload their products, work with your system to try and get them into stores aggressively and then proactively promote that success (presuming it is successful) as a small wholesaler then I'm interested but again only for the$29 monthly fee.

Please advise if this is something IntoStores wants to pursue.

Regards,
Jeremy"

Hey Jeremy,

You are SO smart! I don't know enough about name servers and IP addresses, but I could tell that a number of the replies on this board about this company sounded suspiciously alike and were all from people who only posted one time - interesting. I think they're probably shills for the company.

It just infuriates me that there are companies out there preying on new and trusting entrepreneurs who have stars in their eyes about their new products.

In addition to this company, there are also a number of companies (mostly based in FL) who sell you a bill of goods about doing a video and/or TV commercial for you. I've seen people taken in by them too. You think it's free and you wind up paying htem $18k.

So if you're a new entrepreneur, be sure to do LOTS of due diligence. A good company should have a well-developed website with lots of companies they represent profiled. You should be able to tell who owns the company and who their management team is - with profiles of them and their background. If that stuff's not there, move on.

Thanks again Jeremy, great job!

I liek the concept.  I spoke with one of their reps and a few references. Looks legit. I like the BBB rating. Not sure if my produst will move. Worth the try. I figure it wil cost me more to do it on my own.  Will keep you all in the loop.

I got a subscription because of a discount, 4 days ago. I listed our products and am waiting for customers. Till now no hit, no visit, nothing. Mayebe it is too soon.

I don't know to which extent this website is known to the wholesalers. This is the main issue. I did not see any advetisement anywhere.

I will inform you. (www.kobitaz.com)

I tried them a year ago, but they were called WiseRep.com then.  That is a big redflag as they changed everything and have no mention of their prior name/company.

I had no success selling on their site.  But that was OK.  In sales you try a lot of things and some bomb and some work.

My problem was when I requested the refund on my iniitial set-up fee they guarentee on their website.  It took 3-4 months, with numerous threats that the next contact would be from my lawyer before they finally refunded the initial fee.  They did not refund the 1 month I was charged after they ignored my initial cancellation request, but I'm sure they figured I wouldn't pursue it, which I didn't.

Overall, I would recommend staying away due the shady nature of the operation.  I'd take success stories with a grain of salt as anyone can submit a 'it's great!' post.

I just heard from a fellow entrepreneur on California who was taken in by IntoStores. She saw my posting on this thread and called me. She suggested I call their toll-free number (866) 788-5799 and press #2 for customer service. You're transferred to a "Jennifer Leach", who identifies herself as a woman at the Federal Trade Commission who informs you that the number you are calling was involved in a phishing scam.

So based on that info, I'd say stay FAR, FAR away from Into Stores!
