Hi...I`m Cindy...and I have bought self-help books.    (you all say...Hi, Cindy) 

Seriously, on the advice of someone I trusted, I bought the books (four of them) and read them.  I liked them okay.  They did help my thinking on some things.  I would tend to say, the more I thought about them, though, they were on the light side.  I wonder how much I could get on ebay.  Would that be unethical?

Re: The Secret.  Never read that, but I`ve heard that`s it`s just Think and Grow Rich rewritten for today.  Somebody`s laughing all the way to the bank.

I read (or thoroughly skimmed) a couple of his books (I checked them out of the library). I was not impressed.  Like JenB, I read Martha Rules and did find it insightful. I bought it at the dollar store for $1. Go figure.
