Hey everyone.  Thanks for all the input and feedback I have received so far.  I hope I have provided some helpful information as well.

Some of you might be wondering, "why write a blog on your product?"  Well I like to write (I`ve written 5 screenplays, none of which have been produced, came close a couple times but chalk it up to experience).

I am seeking critiques on the blog for my product the HOLDSTALERO Anti Fanny Pack.

Does it pique your interest in the product?  Do you care?  Is it entertaining? Informative?  Would you check in regularly?

Wear some "different hats" when reviewing please.

Please let me know some of your stories as well.  What have you done to increase readership?  Are your customers interested?

I am days away from launching my online store, updating my blog service, and the re-design of my website.  Everything you see right now has been done by me.

Thanks!!!

Here`s my impression of how you could use a blog to your advantage.  First, I don`t think your product is the kind of thing that people would want to read a blog about while deciding about purchasing the product.  In this instance, I think a product-centric website would be much more effective.

But since your product is a new kind of thing to be worn, I think your blog should be written for your existing customers - the people who have already bought one.  You should set it up as way of explaining it`s uses.  The entries should read as tips.

Holdstalero Tip #67

It`s great for urban bike messengers to easily have their cell phones on hand without worry of it falling out of a pocket or buried in the messenger bag.  Etc., etc.

These "tips" could be whimsical or serious, a way to keep your customers engaged in your brand.  They may want to return to read more about how to use it.  AND you will probably get suggestions from your customers about how they use the product, maybe in ways that you hadn`t thought of yet.

Then in the end, the blog would accompany the sales efforts of your main site and help make sales but it`s geared more toward existing customers, if that makes sense.
