Enh..I do actually get the concept of blogging. It used to be something else, and in a typical publishing venue, it`d be an editorial or opinion column. "Blogging" is just the Hot New Word. LOL! AND they sell it for free!

I have one or two blogs bookmarked, not that I follow them regularly. I don`t need an RSS feed because nothing is that important that I have to instantly know about it. Drudge started with a blog, I think?

But as with so much of today`s "innernet stuff," a new word comes around, and everybody`s gotta jump on it. Does it really matter? No. If someone writes well, and I`m interested, I`ll read it. I don`t care if it`s an article or a blog entry.

On the other hand, for the purposes of storage and long-term access, I think it makes sense to name a file an "article file," versus "blog content page." Or, people could store articles in an articles database, and leave blog entries in CMS applications. The problem would be link maintenance.

You`re still just getting caught up on words.

blog = CMS = article database.

It`s all one and the same on the back end.
