Hi everyone!

Wow, I`ve been reading over a lot of the posts here tonight and I have to say what a great website and forum with so many professional business owners! It looks like a great community here that I`m hoping to hop in and become part of and contribute to when possible.

I own a service-based business called Internet Profit Planning where I help entrepreneurs build their business online through internet marketing.  I`ve been working at home full time since May, when I quit my job to work at home.

I`m a single mom to one boy, who`s 5, named Hayden who is one of my biggest reasons for owning my own business.  I love what I do and am so glad to be able to be an entrepreneur who sets her own schedule and work.

Looking forward to getting to know you all. :)

Hi Angela...welcome to the virtual world of small business owners. From my own perspective, reading all the time on these forums, it seems that one of the biggest factors in starting a business is just that: having some control to enhance the quality of one`s life. Good for you, having your priorities straight. ;-)

Hi Angela,

I want to commend you on reaching for your goals while being a single mom. It can`t be easy. My sister is a single mom of two and sometimes it can be hard to keep up. I am sure that you will get the support that you need here as well as offer support. Folks always ask for tips on internet marketing. Welcome!

Erin

You will enjoy your journey here.

What are your dreams?

BTW tried to link to your website via your signature and it didn`t work for me!

Thank you for the warm welcomes!

Thanks Andrew, I had a typo.

My dreams, great question.  I have to admit I`m pretty happy with where I`m at right now but I don`t own a home yet so that is one of my big goals/dreams at the moment.

A smaller one is to get the money together to buy a pretty rockin laptop! Since I already have a computer that serves me well (and I don`t really travel at this point) the laptop isn`t something I NEED but just something I want.  I`d love to be debt free - another goal I`m working on.

Good point.  I guess putting those dates on there turns that dream into a goal...

Let`s start with the small one.  The laptop will be mine by January 23rd, as a birthday gift from me to me .  I`ll definitely have to sit down and make some plans on the other two, though, thank you for the push!

What`s interesting is that one thing is what you want, and don`t need. The other---being debt free---is voting "against" debt. It`s not voting "for" something, see?

More often than not, when I talk with people about life plans and dreams, they don`t even realize they`re thinking about day-to-day operations---tactics. But what about a grand vision?

For example, one of your highest values is your son. Do you have a vision in mind for his future? I don`t mean your "demanding" that he be a doctor or engineer, but rather to look at his personality, character, humor, and talents. Do you have a way to guide him into what he seems to want? How does he know what he wants yet?

Being debt free means having zero money. :-) That`s quite different from wanting to have $1-million invested and paying out annual dividends. It`s also different from wanting to have a company that makes life easier or more fun for people.

So what`s your grand vision; your wonderful vision, so to speak?
