Hello,
I am a Chef and I am looking to purchase an existing 2COP 95 seat restaurant located in a renovated downtown area. The location is in New Port Richey, Florida. I have a complete business plan including projected income/expenses as well as complete documentation from 2005-2007. Please, if anyone can help me I would be greatly Thankful. The total investment would be around 175k with an 13-15% return within 3 yrs.

God Bless
Mike

Mike,

From your brief intro, it sounds like you are seeking a loan to purchase the restaurant. Generally speaking, lenders want to see:
1 An ability to repay the loan (income)
2. Assets to "encourage" repayment.

On the other hand, if you are looking to attract investors for a equity exchange, they usually look at the return on investment potential -as compared to the perceived risk.

Robert,
Thank you for your response. At this point I am looking for any money that will help me reach my dream. Unfortunely, a tradional loan is not viable however an investors that would like a good return for their money would be perfect.

Thanks,
Mike

While I appreciate the passion for your dream- I`d caution against the "any money" concept. All capital is not the same and some can be very expensive.

If you intend to approach possible investors, I`d suggest preparing a "package" that reduces their perception of the risk.

Mike,

That`s great.

Generally speaking, a 13-15%  return (which you mention in yor initial post) may be a bit thin for investors.

Good luck

Hi Mike,

www.BizPartnerHunt.com sends out monthly lists of Angel Investor contacts to email subscribers. They also have an Angel Investor Directory which you can download for free off their homepage. I`ve seen several people post ads there looking for investors. You may want to try it and let me know if the site helped any.
