When I was in sixth grade I took second place in my school`s Invention
Convention. I invented the "easy-egg-split" which was a made of
pieces of wood that I nailed together with a little platform for an
egg. I attached a plastic knife to a rubber band, and put that on
the device so that when you pulled the knife back, stretching the
rubber band, and let go, it snapped back and sliced through the
egg. It worked great because my goal was to not break the yolk as
you might when you crack it on the counter. I thought of it for
some reason today, and was laughing to myself. It was my first
invention! I was wondering what other people`s easy-egg-splits
were.
By the way, the kid who won first had stuck a fork in a battery
operated drill to make an automatic spaghetti twirler. I still
think I was robbed.

Is this the other kid?
