How many people have problems with maintaining consistent posts on your blog or website?

As you may know, successful blogs and content sites are made by constantly providing value and consistently building their readership. Two things you must have, regular posts and valuable unique content with a focus on quality.

A problem I've had is struggling to find ideas for new unique content. You can visit my latest post in the first link in my signature block, its titled "When Writing Became Personal" to see the article that has helped me overcome this problem.

What helpful tips or methods has anyone used that help build readership and site traffic?

The biggest discovery I have made recently about building a readership and traffic is your ability to engage your readers. Put down more than words on paper and intrigue them enough to respond to you call to action.

After they have interacted with you Via a comment on your blog or through a social media network, you must build on that interest immediately through a series of follow ups and interaction with them. Its relationship building, in order for people to feel comfortable enough to do business with you online, they must; know you, like you and trust you.

Just my two cent

There are 365 days in a year.  If you post a new topic everyday, that is 365 new topics which is hard to do unless you are professional writer that writes about everything under the sun (which might not be relevant to your readers).  Usually, what I do to get ideas is to search for popular blog sites and see what they are writing about.  Also, another area to get ideas is to see the comments on those blogs because the comments shows what readers are focusing on.

If you have any other ways to get ideas, let me know.
