Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to share something that I`m thrilled about.  I have taken advice from many of you in the community: submitting my site to directories, posting on blogs, creating my own blog to promite my site, publishing articles, posting classifieds, and, well, I`ve been busy.  Sales and traffic have increased dramatically and I wanted to share it with you and thank you for all your help, it`s been very effective.  (From Alexa traffic ranking page)

Congratulations! Most people fail simply because they don`t implement. And implement you did .

I saw one of the blogs you posted a comment too and it was a PR4 (PageRank 4). That`s how you leave a comment and you got a chance to throw in your URL. Get yourself on 20 more blogs with good PageRank scores and that`ll help you along even more...

Go after blogs that talk about Romance, Relationships, Love, Marriage, etc...

Thank you both for your words of encouragement.  Some days you just need to look for a sign that your efforts are doing something. The business is only 9 months old, and I went into it knowing absolutely nothing, except that I wanted to do it.  The best thing that could have happened was a friend directing me to SuN.

Seems like I spend too much time looking for blogs with high PR`s.  Do you have any tips on a quick way to find them?  Thks,

There are conversations with "your keyword" taking place on blogs all across the Internet. If you want tons of "related links pointing back to you" then enter into that conversation. Become a part of that conversation and add something of value to it.

A great place to start searching for that conversation is here:

http://blogsearch.google.com

It`ll bring back a variety of blogs, some google blogs and others. You may have to setup an acct with blogs such as google to leave comments, which links back to your profile page (make sure to include your URL on your profile page) and others allow you to leave your URL directly.

Yes, Cartess, it helps! I`ve been doing it the hard way (what else is new).  I`ve taken much of your advice, all great.  I especially liked the idea you gave to the other lady selling lingerie about placing classified ads for catalogs.  I`m working on that too.  Now tell me how I can do everything there is to do and still have time to eat, exercise, sleep, read an ocassional book......?????

For most, the startup phase is generally the most stressful and busiest (but it`s still fun and addicting). As you`re now experiencing, you`ll be putting in more hours and time into getting this thing up and running than you would a regular 9-5 job. Where the normal work week runs 40 hours, it`s not uncoming for business owners (entrepreneurs) to work 60, 70, 80 and 90 hours per week.

My wife would love for me to order that book. She says my time management skills have a lot of room for improvement.

I wouldn`t base too much on alexa. Your improvement is certainly significant. But be aware that over 100,000 their results get less and less accurate. They show my traffic as declining fairly continuously over the past six months or so.

But I see my actual traffic logs, and my traffic has more than doubled in this timeframe.
