We have the plans, we have the team, we have the routes, we have returns... all we need is the funding for our airline... anybody got any ideas???

Okay here is the further information (apologies for the lack of it earlier):

The airline will launch from Scotland (the first base to be either Glasgow or Scotland) serving two key European cities in year 1 and extending the network over a period of 3 years, along with adding another key Scotland base.

The model is going to be a full service airline in a 2 class configuration, business and economy, based on a Scottish Cultural feel, giving a sense of national identity - important to note there is currently no national airline that flies direct to Europe, apart from a few token LCC`s which are not cheap. The other alternatives are to fly via London at extra cost and time.

The business plan is set over 3 years and shows a break even at that time.

The proposed fleet is either the Boeing 737-800 or Airbus A320.

Upon year 3, we propose a second round of funding by IPO and will wish to introduce the Boeing 787 to coincide with the phase II of the Open Skies agreement, so we can fly to the USA also.

Anybody who wishes to view a copy of our detailed proposals, please feel free to get in touch ( julian@jewel-air.com ) and furnish me with your email address and a little bit about you, Ill be delighted to hear from you.

Well, your post doesn’t really represent much of a pitch, does it?

Especially in times of economic uncertainty when discretionary and recreational traveling is at an all time low and most carriers face stiff competition along with rather substantial volatility in fuel prices, you might want emphasize why you think your concept will prevail.

On a different note, it may well be that “you got plans”, “the team” and “the routes” (although I find this a little hard to believe since you are trying to secure funding and these are usually auctioned off to rather established carriers), but how about “the returns”? That would not only indicate that your company is already operational, but also cash flow positive.
