Hi,
The first thing I would recommend is that you create a professional website which accentuates all of your skills and writing credits. This is your calling card to potential business partners. When you design your website, make sure that it is easy to navigate and that you do not have any spelling or grammatical errors on it. After all, you are selling your skills as a writer.
The next thing I would recommend is creating a business plan, a marketing plan, and a projected budget. Potential partners will want to see everything spelled out in writing.
You need to be very clear as to what will be expected from your partner and what your partner can expect from you. You also need to be clear about how much of an investment you are looking for and what your investor can expect as a return on that investment.
I hope this helps.
Hi mdweems,
I`m not a certified teacher. But, I developed a three day seminar for a community college. I then met with the college’s director of Adult Continuing Education. She offered to sponsor the seminar as a non-credit adult education certification program. This might be a route you want to try.
