We established a family importing company that will bring fresh lemons to the US from Mexico. We are looking at contracting with a distributor in Texas who will provide trucking and processing services. We`d like to conduct due diligence on this distributor. Anyone know how to do that inexpensively? Thanks.

As an attorney, I have conducted reseach on a number of companies via the Texas Secretary of State website.  I would also suggest that since this is international and importing to such with Customs as to the trucking and processing services company, along with the US Department of Transportation to make sure that all licensing and permits are correct for international commerce.  Definitely would not want to have the lemons made into lemonade at the border :-)
