I am not permitted to disclose the name of the company, but here goes...
This is a health and wellness driven business that involves sharing fabulous skincare, cosmetics and weight-management products with others. This company is 25 years old, stable, debt-free and the business can be done with a minimal investment with no home parties or anything like that. I have a website that people can see if they leave me a message.
This product is not a hard sell; you can just let the products sell themselves which is a great concept. I am very excited and would love to share with as many people as possible.
Love the book, by the way. I refer back to it often. I love the comraderie that you and your brother have.

I think it would more accurately be depicted as "network marketing". I would much rather use 1% of 100 people`s efforts than 100% of my own, wouldn`t you agree?
It is not a pyramid scheme AND the company is endoresed by the DSA which is a great thing. Hopefully this gives a tad bit more info!
I`ve just started working as a full-time freelance writer (here`s the shameless Web site plug: www.sheilascarborough.com ) and what I`m rapidly discovering is that I love what I`m doing so much that I ignore onerous duties like cat litter box cleaning, getting groceries, etc.
My laptop over in my little work corner sings the siren song and I get sucked in, then look up at 3 in the afternoon and realize I`ve not really gotten nicely dressed or even eaten lunch. I do not want to work in my jammies or my take-the-kids-to-school sweatpants, thanks!
I`m learning that I must carve out time to go to the store, pick up the house, and work out or I will be my own worst enemy.
It`s great to work hard at something that doesn`t even feel like work, but my family is wondering when the upside is coming for them.
So here`s Tip Number One: Do Not Sit At The Computer Until Some Of The Other Stuff Gets Done. That Means You! :)

I had an aHA! moment while reading STARTUP NATION - OPEN FOR BUSINESS on an airplane earlier this year. The whole Life Plan vs. Business Plan thing put words to the struggle I have on a daily basis. I am a SAHM FIRST and my life plan is to be a SAHM. But, I fell into this incredible business that is BEGGING to be taken in so many other directions. I have had to reign in a lot of my business plans (such as lots of travel) in order to make my business fit in the life I choose to have. That stings sometimes because I know I could do so much more with my business if I just dove in head-first and ignored everything else. But, the kids aren`t going to disappear any time soon so I continue to put my family first (although the laundry waits - LOL!).

Yes, yes, yes!!! If I jump right in, oh the places this business could go, the wonderful places it could go. But that all comes to a screeching halt as, for right now, I must go down the hall and referee three small screaming little girls. And, did someone mention laundry? Thanks for reminding me that I must get that off the dining room table. Groceries, homework, ballet, tap, housecleaning, hair...
I recently took my family on a "hey guys, thanks for being so patient as I work on my business" getaway and they made me promise them a day of not even opening my laptop. That was hard but we had lots of fun.
Somehow, we`re all getting it done and loving ourselves and our families along the way.
Okay, Sheila, I`m closing my laptop and going to get the "some of the other stuff" done.
