I would like to add a free e-card service to my website.  Does anyone have any idea where to start with this?  Ideally, I`d just like to have a service that offers some generic templates and then add my own text.  When customers visit my site (I have an online sympathy gift store) I`d like to offer a service that allows them to send a sympathy e-card to someone.  Can anyone point me in the right direction for adding this service to my site?  I`m scouring the web, but coming up empty-handed.

There are a few ecard scripts available that can be used (search on ecard script) or you can be an affiliate of an ecard provider.

 

You`ll need to consider what kind of ecard you want too... an image based, animated, and or flash animated.  Some scripts or affiliations do not provide for all ecard types.

Thank you!  I`ve visited their website.  I`m not quite sure how it works.....where do that actual cards come from?  Are they included like clip art is with programs?  Or do you have to find your own?  I am specifically looking for only sympathy cards.  Do you think this would work for me?  I`m really having a hard time figuring out how the scripts work.  Does it arrive as html that you need to cut and paste into your website?

It is a script that they install for free for you with purchase, they install the mysql database as well. . It does come with some sympathy cards that you can use. The cards can be animated or a static picture, so they are easy to make. How many are you looking for? I can see what i can pull together for you. Just pm or or email me at our web site.
