StartupNation Profile Badge
Have you seen it? When viewing your own personal StartupNation profile, there is now a Profile Badge in the left margin underneath your photo. It looks like this:

The image http://www.startupnation.com/images/view_sun_profile01.gif cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

You can put this badge on your website or blog page and it will link back to your StartupNation profile.

It`s a terrific marketing tool to add to your arsenal. You can let people know that you are a member of the most active online entrepreneurial community on the internet and they can learn more about you as an entrepreneur.

It will add to your credibility as a small business, especially as you continue to contribute to the valuable forum discussions and create Marketplace listings. We will be making major profile page enhancements in the coming months as well, so linking to your StartupNation profile page will become even more valuable.

How to add the badge. Calling out to community members to offer assistance.
While this is fairly simple to do, it does require you to have access to your web page source code in order to add this profile badge to your site. Click on the "Get your badge code" link on your profile page and follow the instructions.

If you need help to do this, post a request for assistance with a comment in this topic. I`m certain that the StartupNation community will rise to the occasion and offer to walk you through the process. I`m absolutely certain of it!

How Does it look?
Take a look at Kathy`s website and the StartupNation Profile Badge there.

Let us know when your Profile Badge is up.
Post a comment below when you`ve put your StartupNation Profile Badge up with a link to the page where it is displayed. I`d love to see how it looks on your site and I`ll be selecting community podcast guests in the future from those who have their badge posted.

Show your StartupNation Community pride!!

I just put it on our web flyer that we have for the signal flags. Thanks for the heads up on this. I think it is a win-win situation. You get more people coming here but it also gives us another outlet to announce to the world that we are in business.

Great idea!!

This is one of those things that should have been simple but was not ... stupid blog css cludgy code.

Anyway, here it is!

I fixed your code though ... you`re not adding a width and height tag, but you should. So stick
width="160" height="33"
in the img tag.

nhgnikole your right we didn`t add a width or height attribute to our image tag for a specific reason. Basically if we ever needed to update that image or possibly change the size we didn`t want to require all our members to rework the code tag. Usually if you don`t specify a height or width the browser takes the image properties and adheres to those dimensions. Now I don`t see us updating this anytime soon size wise, however like I said if we did then the only thing you would notice is a new image and it wouldn`t require any changes. Did the image fail on your site in some manner? If so I`d like a bit more info as to what browser, and html editor you’re using.
