My website is still in construction, although its up and running, I still have many changes to make.  In the meantime, I wanted your input on some search words that you would use in order to find my website.  My company is as follows:  I incorporate business names.  You want to form the corporation or llc etc. well I`ll do the entire corporate kit for you. I have some ideas already, but I wanted your input as well.  I feel brainstorming is much more effective.  Thank you.

Don`t forget LLC, limited liability, business legal, business startup, business license, also maybe Secretary of State since that is what people might put in as a search because that is where they would need to download the documents.  Hope this helps.

One thing you can do is look at the source code of similar companies. Near the top there are often meta tags with keywords in it. Here`s what you do:

Go to the site. In Internet Explorer go to View--> Source. (In Firefox it`s View--> View Source.) It will usually open up a Notepad page with a bunch of code on it. Usually near the top, within the HEAD codes you`ll see something like this:

<META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="incorporate, incorporation, incorporating, register business, registered agent, llc,  llc formation, limited liability corporation, register company, incorporate online, articles of incorporation, company incorporation, nonprofit corporation">

Those happen to be words they are using as keywords for their site. (Not necessarily what they might be using for AdWords.) It might help you get some ideas though. Look at a bunch of sites` source code. I bet you`ll get lots of good keywords.

Sure! Also, Adwords has their own "keyword tool" that should help as well.

Most search engines nowadays skip the metatags completely. Too many XXX sites overabused them, so they just don`t get seen. It`s a shame, but so what, there`s LOTS of content areas that gets read.

Think of a search engine as a blind person, as TonerDesign pointed out---a superb analogy! All they know is the words. They don`t see the sentences. So it`s legit if you want to have the phrase "incorporate my business" (which someone types into Google) thusly:

"Are you stressed about how hard it is to incorporate? My business is all about helping you to incorporate your business." Note that Google won`t see the question mark, and read only the phrase.

You can also use standard lists in sentences, but Google and other SEs (search engines) do have an algorithm to determine spamming. So you could have a reasonable list, as example:

"You`ve done the work, researched business names, coporate names, LLC, LTD, and SCC. You`ve looked into business kits, incorporation kits, and spoken with corporate attorneys. You`ve even checked into how much it would cost for patents, trademarks, copyrights, and slogans. Now you`re exhausted!"

Note in the above paragraph you`re really not trying to be interesting, you`re only trying to "legitimately" and "reasonably" include as many key phrases as possible. Of those, find (using tools) the top three. Repeat them at least 6 times on each page of your entire site. The SEs see each page as a whole separate reality, but eventually do assign "site relevance" statistics after doing "page relevance" indexing.

By the way, I love the book metaphor. You might consider actually allowing the pages to turn! Email me, I know an excellent SEO company, using a nifty javascript device that provides turnable pages in an interactive fashion.
