I am looking at a business which will have a strong online presence.  In terms of content  for the website, what is the best way to access or "acquire" content for a website? What is the best way to format and display, update that content on a relativly contstant basis as I am a web newby.

Hire a writer.
And use a content management system (CMS).

- Hiring a ghostwriter is a good way.

- You can write your own content which takes time.

- You can use PLR Articles (Private Label Rights), that you`ll want to edit but they`re a good starting point.

Here are a couple of good places for quality PLR: http://www.easyplr.com, http://www.allprivatelabelcontent.com/

- You can use reprint articles like those at EzineArticles.com.  Because google doesn`t like duplicate content (and you should try to keep your site original) you should use a large amount of reprints but in my opinion there`s nothing wrong with sprinkling in some good reprint articles on your site if you also add your own comments around the article (top and bottom) to give it some more original content.  You can`t edit these articles but you can put more information on the page then just the article.

I agree on using a Content Management System as a good way to add and update your site.

I like WordPress.

And if you aren`t going to write it yourself, I`d just hire a writer to compose, format and upload it. Try listing the job on the Problogger Job Board.
