Wow..! What a change!! :-D

Two things. The first is I found it hard to read the text on the purple buttons. Not enough contrast, and the buttons were a bit too small.

The other is harder. I really *liked* that mystical "feel" to the other site. This one is nice and clear, but it`s not at all as differentiated as the previous site.

In a way, it`s like the argument over SEO. Do you focus on the search engines, looking for rankings at the expense of the human visitor? I don`t see that making sense. I think you write something interesting, and if the engines rank you high for content and relevancy, great.

Travel agencies are all over the place. The hard part is being noticeable AND memorable. The other site was a lot more memorable! If you can figure out a way to blend the two, that`d be great. :-)

My issue is that I have to scroll horizontally and vertically to see the whole thing.

In general, 2-plane scrolling is something you should avoid.

I would like to know what browser you are using? I have my Internet Explorer as well as firefox like you suggested. What, if you know, can I do to correct the problem?

You have to make the overall page width smaller.

The browser is Firefox but my screen resolution is 1024 pixels wide. So I`m guessing your site is 1200-1500 pixels wide.

We design for 700-900 pixels.

We`ve found that 950 px wide is about the max for the most browsers. Someone posted not long ago that the "industry" seems to believe that 1000 px wide is okay. But we tried it, and it was too close on a 17" CRT (tube-type) monitor. 900-950 works really well, also on eBay.

Hi Nancy,

I like the color scheme and the pictures.  I agree with the others that it`s too wide.  I see you used a Microsoft theme.  Do you know how to edit the HTML code by hand?  If so, go to the first table tag where it says width="1112" and change it to something smaller.  The whole home page looks too stretched out to me, anyway.  Notably, a couple of the pictures look like they`re being forced to be wider than they really are.

I think you could also make the text under the pictures not be double-spaced, and that would help.

Another suggetion: your subheadline "I specialize in package deals" was disappointing to me.  I only saw the "I specialize in" part at first (I had to scroll right to read it all), and after seeing the dolphin/moon picture, I was expecting it to say something more exotic.  "Package deals" just sounds so prosaic.  Maybe something like "Your dream vacation on a silver platter."  That suggests that it`s the whole package, but it sounds much cooler.

I heard that most websites are going wide screen. I do not own a wide screen laptop. I believe that is the reason for the size.
