I have my entire client database (several thousand names, addresses, phone numbers,and other vital stats) on an older version of ACT! software (2000).  I`ve gone through several versions of ACT! over the years and feel it is time to graduate to another database program.  Anybody know of any dependable program I can import my ACT! data from?

I don`t really know what is compatible with ACT but I`ve been looking into some web-based databases lately for a project of mine.  I`m probably going to use a site called TrackVia.com.

Based on feedback from colleagues within the industry, I agree that Highrise would be a viable option for your needs. As for the data that is currently in ACT!, I would first export into a comma seperated values (.csv) file out of the program. That should make your contact records universally acceptable for most database programs.
