I have been buying motorcycles at auctions and reselling the parts for quite some time and I feel that if I put forth just a little more effort and planning I can make this into a full time endevor. I have a very good vision of how the process should work. I have laid the groundwork for the software I`ll need (my 2 passions are programming and motorcycles) and I have a good source of product.

Anyone have any suggestions/comments of such an endevor? I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks!

I had a buddy that chopped bikes in the 70s and saved all the parts he removed . He and his brother had a direct mail business (before the internet) of parts for "classic" motorcycles which I think went well until the brothers split.

He moved to this area and did Harley repair and painting for several years. When he wanted out of the dirty hand business he sold all the parts he had left at rallies over a two year period ( which supported a family of 4) while he was setting up an auto glass business which is doing very well.

This is a long way of saying that each time he sold bike (Harley) parts he had a good demand so it sounds like a good venture to me and I wish you well with it.
