Hello,
This is my first post here and after doing some reading I like what I see.  Can anyone recommend a good company for me to use for my new company`s email?  I am currently using (company name)@gmail.com and someone said it looks very unprofessional.

I personally do not think it`s that bad because i am just starting up so obviously my capital is rather low at the moment.  What do you think?

Hi jbjints,

I personally use godaddy for my domain name and website hosting since I started my business in 2007. Everything is pretty straight forward and easy to use and they just re-designed their mail server platform.

I would look into any specials they are offering right now.

I hope this helps,

Hi,

You can use a gmail as a secondary email but never a primary one, have a professional email for a primary email.

Try googleapps-standard edition. As long has you have a domain they can host your email for free

I suggest using some exchange servers. They will open wide varity of functionality. But still you can use gmail if you like as email client but with somewhere else registered email.

You could try angelfire.com and other free websites. Some of them offer you a domain name and email ID dirt cheap. You also get a ready made template for a website. Read the T&C carefully.

Hi,

You can use Google Enterprise. It has the reliability of Gmail and is customized for your company. yourname@yourcompany.com

And the Standard Edition is free! http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/group/index.html

Good luck starting your new business.

First of all.. you will require a hosting account for your domain "You could consider a free host like 110mb.com" from there you can simply create an email account.
