I am in the process of looking at options of making custom furniture out of the extra scrap I have laying around. If anybody would be interested in something let me know or if you have any ideas to help the idea along i am always willing to hear what people have to say.

 I have built fine furniture, cabinetry and guitars on and off for
about 15 years.  Its a tough business on the body and it requires
skills in a lot of areas.

 I don`t make rustic furniture at all, so thats not a market I
have explored.  My stuff is all high-end and refined.

 To sell rustic furniture get out there at flee markets and see
if people like your stuff or have suggestions for other things
you can make. 

 You also might try placing work on consignment at coffee houses,
etc... and see if anything happens. 

 I haven`t seen your work so I can`t tell you if I think its any good
or not or where your skills need improvement.  It sounds
like you are just starting out so you might want to focus on outdoor
things like birdhouses and lawn ornaments... seriously.

 People hesitate to buy furniture because they don`t have room for
it.  Thats not a problem with birdhouses and other outdoor items,
generally.

 Have a go at windchimes and whirligigs too.  Those are good sellers
at flee markets.



 

I thank you guys for all the helpful tips I have a lot ideas, i am just trying to find one that i feel has the best chance of making it through my research and you guys are a big part of that.
