Thanks, Scott.

I`ve actually found them to be very resilient - and with reasonable care in handling and transporting - a very good, portable solution.

Maybe I`ve been lucky, but it works very well for me!

An important consideration when selecting your data backup solution is security.  The backup information should be away from the main office or location of the system(s).  The process of moving that data should be secure to protect the information in the backup copies.

What would happen to you when that information is compromised?  For some business owners it can also mean non-compliance with regulations such as HIPPA, Sox, GLBA, etc.  It can also be embassing if your information is compromised such as your customer information including credit card information.

I recommend seeking professional advise from an IT Professional and using a secure and reliable remote online service like DataPreserve.

Remember it is not about backing up your data, it is about getting your data back!  Wink

This was all covered previously in the initial part of the thread.

Check out the Iomega REV system. I use it here for our office and it works wonderful. 35/90 GB. Faster than tape and more stable than a hard drive.

Prices are pretty inexpensive too.

It`s saved my bacon a few times when I`ve accidentally deleted a file on our network that was still useful...hehe...

Some of the iomega storage solutions look good.  This one is more expensive but it has nice features:
