When people contact me and want
to join my team, one of the first questions they ask is "Kevin, I like
you and your team but how will I find people?"
Interesting enough, this is actually the wrong question. The question they and you SHOULD be asking is this:
"How Do I ATTRACT the EXACT type of person I want to work with?"
Attract People Don't Chase Them
You
see, this business, any business becomes MISERABLE if prospecting comes
down to chasing people and trying to convince them to join you, buy
from you or listen to you.
What NOT To Do
Recently
I sat in on a "training call" where the trainer was explaining some of
tricks he used when he called leads trying to book an appointment. He
was so proud of the fact that he had called the phone company and told
them to change the listing on his phone number to his wife's name, so
that when he called people his wife's name came up rather than his and
a woman's name would be less intimidating that a man's!!! This is a
perfect example of the crap people go through trying to "convince"
people to do business with them.
That's where all this "three
foot rule" and pestering friends and family crap comes from...the
belief that you can browbeat someone and where them down enough to do
business with you....WRONG WRONG WRONG
The key is to ATTRACT the
kind of person you want to work with. To do this you MUST know what
they want and need and then structure your offer (your websites and
videos and blog posts etc...ie your marketing) to address the main
issues of top importance to the targeted niche you want to work with.
Attraction Marketing Requires You To Acquire New Skills
This
requires you to attain some skills at copy writing and live and
automatic follow up (more on each of these topics in future trainings).
These
skills aren't necessarily common sense and so without help and personal
mentoring you'd likely never come to them on your own.
Personal
mentoring (again, a topic for another training) is one of the reasons
my team earns over $320,000 every single month...month in month out. I
know what's important, what's not and focus my self and my team on what
will make them money...FAST.
