As of late, as we've become more "successful" with our taco business, there are times when someone says to me, "you are so lucky" ... and I'm thinking, "ah, are we on the same planet?"

So I've been grinding on "The Lucky Entrepreneur" or "Luck and the Entrepreneur" and wondering to what degree luck delivers success; I mean if it's all just blind faith and fortuitous outcomes (or horrible things ending up good) then why should we ever really even factor in anything outside of that immeasurable fate.

Anyone here who knows me, knows I seldom start a thread, and I do tend to go deep into worthless rambling rot, but really, if it's luck, then aren't we all screwed because in the end the fickle hand of fate can/will equally/randomly turn away?

And equally, the one thing I know for a fact is that hard effort alone will not always generate results ... nor desire, pure heart, etc. ... you catch someone at the right time on the phone, or not; is it 50-50, can you stack the odds, can you buy love?

And of course you can take a slice of anyone's life and ent. journey and say, "dead man walking" just as easily as "lucky bastard" ... and outside of just dumb luck (and birthright stuff) what counts as luck vs. a measurable decision point?

Rambling ... just saying, "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?  (I do ... most of all for the dumb things like my family still loving me in spite of who I am, my child having the "right" number of fingers and toes, and the moments when I can look back at the things we've done which seem to have resulted in things I imagined).
