Hello Everyone:
I've been testing different traffic sources (PPV and CoReg mostsly) and I've accumulated some fascinating data I'd like to share.

I set up separate web forms in my aweber autoresponder so I could track the leads and unsubscribes from my normal traffic sources (PPC and Social Media) and my test traffic sources (PPV and CoReg) during my test period.

What I found was that my PPC and Social Media traffic converts at between 16-20% (opt in conversion) and my test traffic converts at less than 1% !!!!  Not THAT surprising since PPV is really pop ups that come up on top of someone's search results..annoying and no surprise that they have low opt in conversion.  They were SO cheap I just had to try them...but as you'll see later...maybe not as cheap as I thought!!

Further,  during the same test period (7 days)my unsubscribes are next to nothing (less than 1%) in my regular traffic stream and over 80% from the test source!!!

What's my "take home" message?   That my PPC and Social Media leads are high quality leads verses the PPV and Co-Reg I tested.

Further, when you take the unsubscribes into account, the resultant leads become much more expensive per lead than my PPC ($25 for test verses $7 per lead for PPC and of course my Social Media leads are FREE).

I'd also like to believe this data tells me that my follow up process (autoresponder, videos and 2-3 live weekly webinars) are highly effective at keeping people on my list.

Now don't get the wrong idea from my post.  I'm STILL going to search for different traffic sources.  I absolutely believe and know from others' results that Google and other PPC is definitely NOT the only traffic available.

In the meantime,  I also need to test ways to improve and increase my sales conversion percentage for both my front end marketing system as well as my back end opportunity.  Stay tuned, I already have some very promising preliminary data on THAT!!

I'm always "on the hunt" for new  and cheaper traffic sources and better conversions both opt in and sales...I'm a bit of a geek that way.  I'll keep you all posted .

As Always

Thanks for doing the heavy lifting Kevin. As you know it is ALWAYS a good idea to explore more traffic sources. You may just discover a gem. And if/when you do, please share with the rest of us!

Be Blessed,

Tony
